Made-to-order refers to garments that are only made when an order is placed for it. So, when you click “purchase” on an item marked made-to-order, it is then made by me according to your specifications. This is why made-to-order items have a longer processing time of 2-3 weeks, because they are literally being handmade in that time! With love, of course. 

1-of-1 items refer to garments that have already been made and are up for sale. These items come in a certain size. When creating 1-of-1 collections, I try to be mindful and accommodate various sizes. So, if you love a 1-of-1 item and it is not in your size, make sure to look at all the other pieces available. Chances are another unique ByFarida 1-of-1 piece will fit you!

Yes! This is the best part of an all handmade shop. Keep in mind that I can only accommodate alterations on a made-to-order item, as these are made after your place your order. There are a few ways you can do this. During checkout, there is a “notes'' section that allows you to include any comments or questions for me to see. Feel free to give me your personal measurements in the notes section. This can include making a dress shorter or longer, accommodating your hip:waist ratio, etc. You can also email byfaridaaa@gmail.com or DM @byfaridaaa on Instagram with your order # and any notes after you place your order. I will try my best to honor all of your specifications! Thank you for shopping small :)

Made-to-order and 1-of-1 items have different processing and shipping times. Because made-to-order items are made specifically when an order is placed, they have a longer processing time of 2-3 weeks, after which the item will be shipped. Expect to wait 1-3 days for a pre-made, 1-of-1 piece to ship. You will then receive a tracking number. After shipment, items are typically delivered after 3-5 days via USPS. ByFarida is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items.

ByFarida honors returns under certain situations. Please refer to our return policy. 

Unfortunately, we do not ship internationally as of yet. We are constantly growing and working to serve all of our customers, so please stay tuned!
